Impromptu Speech Evaluation
Topic: Truly Remarkable Ads
My Ideas:
I decided to talk about 2 television ads I thought were truly remarkable. I categorised remarkable ads as ones that keep you guessing and get your attention straight away. Ads that you have no idea what it's selling until the very end.
I then explained the two ads I found remarkable.
What I thought I did well:
I believe I gave my examples well and explained the ads with sufficient detail so the audience could picture them themselves. I believe I knew enough so I would keep the speech going without having to look at my notes and went for a decent duration. I believe I spoke well, with limited ums and I used good non verbal communication like hand gestures.
What I could have improved on:
I could have listed the criteria for a good ad and gone into more detail about what makes an ad truly remarkable. This would have made my speech more informative and lengthened the speech. I also could have ended the speech with something to challenge the audience like encouraging them to observe ads more and look for remarkable ads.
